A few weeks ago, I joined the local "Wirral Classic Car Club" for the nominal sum of £12 per annum.
Last night my wife and I attended their monthly meet. Dave was hoping for a generally pleasant, social night, the advertised buffet AND lots of opportunity to talk Montego. Was I disappointed!
After a while waiting for proceedings to "kick off", we then had to listen to almost an hour of AGM admin. Then twenty minutes of dementia talk from their chosen charity - no objection to the subject, my late father suffered, but at a classic car meet I want to talk CARS!
The buffet was better described as sandwiches,
Not enough, if any, modern classic theme. No Montego appreciators. David was not amused.
