The question of honesty raises its head here.

It is fine to re-shell a car, but it must always be documented as such.
Problems arise when a car is sold and someone further down the line decides to sell the car as genuine, or convieniently forgets to publicise the fact the car is not genuine.

Cheers mate, just cannot wait to get it finished, am looking forward to driving a turbo again. Bring the memories of when i was 18, though hopefully wont have to pay £256 a month for insurance now i am 24.

Am selling my ZS180 to get money to finish it. The respray will cost the most i think, and getting the body kit repaired.

316 fell into the hands of some careless people after Roger sold it.

Will have to post some pics of 316's very rotten shell

Hadrians have run out of most stuff now - they have no rear arches for example and they are not getting any more made.

Was that Montego ones? Hadrian don't have any metal or plastic bumper rear arches for either side for the Maestro and they won't be getting any more.

I enquired on Hadrian's website about a Montego door skin and rear arch panel. The former is available at around £60 and the arch was NLA. Shame, that. Hadrian will lose a fair bit of business.

The parts do appear on Beever's list and you can complete the checkout online, rather than just an enquiry. Hopefully they do have plenty stock...

Why on earth are you spoiling that lovley b reg HL model? This is the only other HL model i have ever found other than my own, and in the same colour as mine, it looks in wonderful condition, seems a real shame to ruin it to do up an MG.

I guess because, whether or not Austin hardnuts like it or not, the MG models are what most people want, including our friend here who's got one with a shell in irreperable condition and an Austin model with a great shell.

The Austin car will live on with a different engine, interior, colour and identity and it's actually the MG Turbo shell which will get scrapped out of this deal, not the other way round.

The only mistake he's made is posting his 'blog' up on a forum which is predominantly populated by Austin enthusiasts (and that's not meant in a derogatory way, just a statement of fact). Most of the MG enthusiasts hang out down at Triple-M, where I suspect his restoration/conversion would have received a more positive welcome.
                        Regards

The car was on eBay, only 1 bid!

If all you people who complain were that worried you would have bid!

If the HL was being restored it would have been stripped anyway!

It is in wonderful condition, which is way i guess, you wanted the tailgate for your car.

It does annoy me at times that some people on here are so quick to condeam people who break/swap bits around other cars, but yet they are always the first to ask for something from the car in question.

They get them from the same place as Hadrian so they haven't got any either. I ordered them online and they phoned me to say they are out of stock and can't get any more.
