H89 RUY is a 1.6 and I agree that the LX is quite a nice model, although mine isn't exactly the best example.

People are often suprised to find electric windows and central locking on a maestro! The seats are very comfy too! If it had only been fitted with power steering... If I intended keeping it longer than I do I'd consider retro fitting it but there's little point cos the body's nackered!

Here are my two Maestro Turbos. The black one is my most recent acquisition, but I can't put it on the road till I sell the red one. Offers, anyone...?

I see you have an extra black front skirt under your front bumper (or am I hallucinating?) Is that a Rover 800 skirt?

Very well spotted. It is indeed a Mk2 Rover 800 splitter which was a pain in the butt to fit, makes a change to the usual Laguna splitter, and the 800 one is more in keeping with the shape of the car.

                    My MG Maestros

Here are my MG Maestros. This is the only picture I have of them both together. This is because I don't often have them both out at once.

The car on the left is a 1984 MG Maestro 1600 registered as A593XLG (originally A200VMB). I am the second owner and it has 62,000 miles on the clock.

The car on the right is a 1990 MG Maestro Turbo registered as MAT99V (originally G818REW) I have had it for four years and I am the fifth owner. It has 111,000 miles and it is Tickford no.500.

Check out my website to read more about them - http://www.angelfire.com/home/mat99v/

                    Cheers, Matthew

                        My MG Maestros

Glad you liked the picture. I have owned at least two Maestros since 1998 - sometimes owning 3 at once! This is my MG Maestro 2.0i - a 1990 model in British Racing Green. It was an ex-Rover car and it had all the options including electric windows and PAS.

I'd love to get another one so I have all three MG Maestros but I'd want it to be something special like a very late K-reg car or an early EFi with the optional digital dash. Or maybe a 1986 car with optional dish alloys which would sit halfway between my other two cars in age.

We always have three - and often four - Maestros in our driveway. Now the weather has perked up, I'll try and take a couple of pictures of the four of them together - it's a magnificent sight - almost brings a tear to the eye, it really does.

I remember when I first got mine, parking it in Mum and Dad's driveway behind their 2.

Eventually I'll get round to getting all 4 of mine roadworthy and decent looking for some photoshoots.
