Hi 3 quick request 1 does the 1983 maestro range have rear seat belt anchor points and if so where can i get the right seat belts to fit.
2 The rear tailgate support stuts are weak. are replacements available or is there anybody who refurbishes them
3 anyone know of any Haynes or similar workshop manuals available.

Hi and welcome
Can't help with seatbelts but your car should have the anchors already in place

Tailgate struts are available from stabilus if you search their website so you don't need to refurbish

Workshop manuals are available from ebay etc.
Is the car a 1.3 or 1.6 which would be a r series engine I think

As Jeff says the seat belt mountings are there, the belts from a later model should go straight in, the only thing that will be to alter is the rear parcel shelf support, the reel mounts under it & iirc the early ones didn't have a blanked hole, so were to cut. If you can find a later set of supports in the right colour it'd save you having to cut your originals.

Well securon don't do an automatic rear seat belt for a Maestro, so be careful as they are for sale on ebay and this maybe a mistake.
A static belt might do if it will not be getting a lot of use.
