Maestro Central Locking

Central Locking not working on all doors. When it first failed to unlock any door the control unit would keep clicking at intervals, as though trying to unlock the doors. After a while it would go into a high speed buzz. I can only lock and unlock the front doors and tail gate with the key and am unable to unlock the rear doors at all. The problem appears to be the control unit. Is it possible to obtain a replacement unit or repair it?

If the back doors won't unlock manually it sounds as though the mechanism may be seized up, which would overload the central locking. Any time my central locking has been acting up it has started working again after I've oiled everything up inside the doors. Not easy to get the door cards off if the doors won't open, but iirc it is possible with the back seats folded down.

You may need to pull the locking pins up and down a few times to hopefully free off the lock so you can open the rear doors, then as above clean and oil it all

Thanks for your comments. I had not considered that the mechanism had seized as all locks stopped operating at the same time. I have tried pulling the locking pins up and down and they will not budge so have come to the conclusion that the rear doors are deadlocked.

You'll probably need to get the door cards off to free them, unless you can somehow spray some wd40 through the hole behind the handle/hole where the wires go in at the front & get it to hit the mechanism, which is a bit of a tall order. It is strange how they often seem to seize up at the same time..... good luck!
