    Tried that David
The car is still running a little lumpy.
    I have changed
    Dizzy cap
    All plugs
    All leads
    All injectors
Refreshed fuel, used whole bottle of injection cleaner and now using super unleaded.

    Compression test was
    1- 82
    2- 82
    3- 78
    4 -85

Number one plug is still wet with all others dry
Can't find any leaks in any vacuum pipes
I'm at a bit of a loss now as the engine is still lumpy and feels like its running on 3 1/2 cylinders

Don't really want to remove the head but it looks like I may have to.
Any further ideas guys before I go down that path?

Have you tried the basic test of removing one lead at a time (while idling) to see if it's just one cylinder that's causing the problem?

Yep done that Ian, when I remove number one lead it didn't effect it, so it all leads to that one. but after changing everything to do with it i'm running out of ideas without having to remove the head

Were those figures done with throttle wide open and a good battery as they seem VERY low if they are in psi. I'd expect a 1 infront of those numbers on a NASP car.

            yes PSI
            That's between 158 - 162 bar
Will try again as it did seem a bit low

              oops

              Hi Jeff
Have you checked the valve timing at the cam belt yet? The engine will run a little bit as you describe if the belt is one or two teeth out.

No, it is between 5.9 and 5.4bar. (14.5psi in 1 bar!)

I have also checked the cambelt prior to putting a new one on Gary. That's spot on

                      Now redone
                      1 - 125
                      2 - 120
                      3 - 120
                      4 - 120

As before, remove one plug lead at a time and number one makes no difference when removed while holding at 3000 revs so all still points to a problem there.
Have looked at all possibilities now and will remove the head and check that

Even pressure is good, although they are still on the low side. I'd be expecting 180ish.

If all even and only one cylinder is giving issues then swap the plugs first. Then the injector next (swap it to another cylinder and see if the fault follows it!)

Already changed the injector, plug and lead Dan
Plenty of spark but still a wet plug
