    GEARBOX MOUNTING

    Hello, this mgf gearbox mounting looks like it will fit a diesel montego? anyone tried this, if so what is the differences?

      hello, it is the one on top of the gearbox, i was hoping it would fit as the mgf has the same box.

          Looking at Rimmers site and comparing part numbers, the ebay one is KKB101821 and indicates its for MGF with K series engine. The one for Diesel montegos is CRC8634, superceded by KKB10002. On that basis alone, it looks like they will be visually similar but different in some other aspect. I would expect that, with the different power units indicated, it will be the shore hardness of the rubber.

            you might be right about the rubber, think i might try one as i packed the old one out with insulation tape when i changed the clutch, i cant make it worse.
