Knock sensor: Light green/slate wire runs to pin 1 on the ignition ECU, Slate wire runs to pin 3 on the ignition ECU

Crankshaft sensor: White/blue wire runs to pin 4 on the ignition ECU, Blue/purple wire runs to pin 6 on the ignition ECU.

This information comes from a Haynes manual for the Maestro and I can think of no reason why the wiring would differ between a Maestro and a Montego with the same engine. The wiring diagram I looked at applies to all 1.6 Maestros from 1986 onwards.

If it's only the connections you need and can't do this yourself, I would go to a car auto electrical company and get them to do it for you. Just remove the engine loom and if required the sensors and take it to them after you've spoken to them, there must be one near you surely.
