That's a good workaround Nick and one I used in the past. A couple of years ago my son bought me a mains-powered impact wrench from a discount supermarket for about £50. It's never failed on countless rusty bolts on bikes and cars although it's so powerful it has sheared a couple. Useless for tightening,...

Good to meet Nealew and see his very nice MG Metro. It will be good to see how it progesses.
Fewer cars today than last year, perhaps due to the mixed weather. We counted three Maestros in total, including one in the car park that we know. A great looking 1.3L was in the show, as was our...

August I think. 4Stories Channel 4. A day and a half will probably end-up as a few seconds. The brief changed to mention 'speeding' along a closed road, driving 'aggressively'. The post-production will need to be good. It's a 1.3 Clubman.

Maestro - TV action car

A little late, but mine was leaking through the speedo cable grommet. It took ages to locate the source. It's dry now.

Barry Festival of Transport 10 June
Perhaps there were fewer cars today than last year, but again the weather was lovely. Usually, there are two or three Maestros: not today.

Speedo drive 1.3 four speed. Avoid my mistake.
Many owners may know this, but I found out by experience. If you remove the cable, make sure the drive is a tight fit.
I think someone had removed an o-ring from the end of the speedo cable, which meant that when I removed it in the dark, the drive didn't come out with the cable and fell...
