Hi all. I intend to replace all of the metal fuel pipe under the bonnet, so it's mainly the pipework going between swirl pot, pressure regulator and the carb. I have a few questions.
1. Is stainless steel suitable as I understand it is more brittle than mild steel?
2. I have looked everywhere...

S-series parts
I'm clearing out my stock of old parts. I have quite a few from my old S-series engine that was replaced with a T-series, so all the parts were working when removed.
I have a collection of pipes:

PAS Pipes
Following on from my questions on Brake Pipes, has anyone replaced all of their PAS pipes that go to and from the rack? Are any of the original parts available or does anyone know of any companies that can build these parts?
Cheers,

Brake pipes
Hi all.
I'm going to replace all of the brake piping that lives under the bonnet. Can can anyone confirm the size, is it 3/16 or 5mm tubing? Also, are the ends double or bubble flared?
Sods law that the brake flaring tool set I inherited from my Dad has many different sizes, including 3/16,...

MG Turbo Throttle / Accelerator cable part number
Hi All, probably Peter :-)
I'm looking for a new accelerator cable for the maestro Turbo but I can't find it listed on the EPC, in fact there appears to be nothing about the carb set up for the MG Turbo. Does anyone know the part number? I'm guessing it may well be the same as the 1.6 carb models....

Brake fluid distirbutor thingy
Hi all.
I managed a good few hours on my Maestro this weekend and continued to clear the engine bay for respraying. I got as far as removing the thing that basically has the job of supplying all 4 brakes from the servo. It has brake pipes entering it and bolts in to the engine bay on the passenger...

Engine and Gearbox paint
Hi all.
I'm planning on giving my engine block a new coat of red paint. A quick search on t'internet reveals quite a range of prices and types of paint available. Any recommendations? Obviously it'll be red.
Then on to the Gearbox. When I did the gearbox on a mini I used etch primer and...

Oil pump issues
Hi all.
After a few hours spent cleaning my engine, probably high on petrol fumes, while wheeling it back in to the garage it decided to leap off my tool chest. Where the filter screws on to the pump, the pump is broken. Some expletives were released. It could have been worse I thought as I had...

O-Series rear engine mount, fixable or available?
Hello.
While preparing my engine for removal the condition of the rear engine mount has come to my attention, in that it really isn't mounting anything. The rubber is no longer attached to the metal.
Can these be re-bonded? They don't seem to be available any more which is a bit of an ar5e....

Powder coating vs Paint
Opinions on powder coating vs simply respraying. I always assumed Powder coating would be best, but a colleague commented that for items underneath the car that are likely to get chipped, paint was better as it wasn't as brittle, ie suspension arms.
Thoughts please! Also, recommendations on companies...

Best place for QUALITY parts
Hi all.
I'm after some lower ball joints for the Maestro Turbo. There are plenty of parts available on eBay. BUT, one never knows the quality. Where do you guys get your standard parts from? Recognised eBay seller? Rimmers? XPart?
Cheers,
Ian
