  • [For Sale] 1991 MG Montego 2.0i

I've decided to sell my BRG Montego 2.0i.
I'm starting a new job next month and i need something cheaper to run, the montego has a few issues all popped up at the same time.

The clutch is starting to slip, but the previous owner claimed it had been changed just before i bought it, so i think its just the cable, its been bodged using washers as a spacer at some point.

Theres a hole in the nearside side just inside the door, the area has been filled poorly at some point in the past. I poked it a bit too hard a few weeks ago

The PAS pump has packed up and makes a lot of noise

And to top it off, the water pump started leaking last night.

On the plus side it has 9 or 10 months mot.
Full leather, though the drivers seat is very worn.
I've refurbished the alloys in white, with very good tyres.
Exhaust system was replaced when I got it, using the system off my turbo.
    Brakes replaced 6 weeks ago.

I've got no idea what its worth, so any sensible offers considered. I need it gone asap as i've only got parking for 2 cars, the turbos in 1 space and this is in the other

I will get some pics up later, atm my phone wont let me

      door cappings

Hi would be very interested in the door capping and possibly the door panels. I am assuming the door cappings have the tweeter holes. looking to 'upgrade' my MG BRG Maestro.

They do have the tweeter holes, its got leather cards not the mg ones. Though I think I've got a spare set of the correct ones.

If people let me know what they need I'll get some pics of parts. Off to pick up my new daily in a little while so I can't do it till this evening.

Such a shame your breaking it. I nearly bought the car before you did, allways wanted a brg MG Montego.
The cars are getting so rare now but never mind, got a buyer for the dash if its uncracked and for sale

Nope its ok stu, I have enough projects on the go thanks, that's also the reason I didn't buy it before.
GSi executive interior but without the proper rear arm rests in it I see.

Would be interested in the front window motors and glass plus the rear door glass and several other bits. Was it an electric sunroof? Not used a forum before how do I get in touch?

Send Stu a pm. (Private message) leccy sunroofs were standard on facelift MG Montys so it will have one.
