Hello All, I have just joined, having acquired a 1993 diesel Montego Countryman. Happy to be here. Can anyone advise on several issues I need to attend to? The heater blower does not work, fuse checked and OK. Does anyone have any suggestions, part number, or where I might mind a replacement? And central door locking does not operate. Any pointers? Finally any suggestions on how I can trace the radio code, as I do not have this, and rear tailgate door closes but does not lock on the key, so a security issue. Very grateful for any suggestions and guidance. The car, overall, is very good and very pleased with it but need to sort these issues our before taking part in activities next seasons. Many thanks, Stewart

This ebay seller should be able to sort out the radio code https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323905446856 , to diagnose the heater you'll need to take the dash out to get at the wiring on the resistor pack/otterstat, if none of the central locking works it is worth checking the wiring to the driver's door (assuming the fuse is ok!). The actuators are the same as early Land Rover discovery among other things, but Discovery is probably easiest to find. Tailgate lock most likely needs a lot of penetrating oil/patience, with central locking the keys are often never used.. Dash removal has a 'how to' with pictures in the faq section iirc

As above, you will need to remove the dash and the faulty part should be just behind the top of the heater box https://maestro.org.uk/forums/forum/...3-dash-removal1958 Ford Consul Convertible. I love this car
