  • Maestro Rock engine covers

    Hi does anyone know where I can get a maestro 1.6 s series rocker cover tops the one on the car the both threads holding the fuel pump are stripped must have been done when they fitted the new engine

    It's been off road since june the pump get on falling off

      Worth asking https://www.xjrover.co.uk/ , if there are none there I might have a spare, but might take a bit of finding. If all else fails then it might be worth getting a helicoil kit like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/387368920246 (assuming the bolts are m8, which I think they are), or any decent engineering place should be able to helicoil it for you.

        Thanks for the info John I contacted x j rover he has a rover 216 s series but it only has one bolt mounting hole

          Begs the question where is the fuel pump on a Rover 216 then. Having looked on everyone’s favourite search engine it appears it is an electric pump in the fuel tank on the 216. The one mounting hole is for the dipstick bracket as per a Montego/Maestro so i assume it is the same for the Rover 216. I believe the part number is UAM3344 "Camshaft Cover Front" which is listed on Teesdales site in Nottingham vis https://www.inracing.co.uk/teesdale-...-parts-centre/ worth asking? Hope this helps.
