Interesting! I've been beaten to it , but where does the map reading light fit......both electrically and in the car?

You can attach it to the A post and will only need a live and earth as theres an on/off switch on it. On some models the wiring is already there to plug into

On the military cars there are two map lights, one on the RH rear C pillar (or D pillar on estates) and a longer one on the LH front seat base, seems like an odd place for the front one, but I guess that must have been what the MOD asked for.. I'm hoping that this will have an MOD part number on it somewhere, so that I can compare it with the new Hella one that I've got & work out which goes where. Strange that the Unipart accessory one is a slightly different design and fits in a different place...One day I'll get to the bottom of it!

I don't think it has a part number on it as i lost the box many years ago. Did have it on tbe box then John
To be honest I'm not sure if its for the front or rear

I'll be able to workout if it is front or rear from the length of its stalk. It'll probably be a while before I get around to it, having at least one 'definitely original' lamp is a bonus though,if the generic Hella ones are identical, then I've won,if not, then I can plan around it.

Arrived yesterday and it is a front one, it is the same as the one I thought it should be, so all good, cheers!
