Thats midlands. I did go up last year with my rover coupe and I seen Johnny and Norman there with their maestros. Probably go up this year aswel. So there will be people there. I generally stay over the night before to save rushing about in the morning.

The first show of the year is coming up on Sunday at Ryhope Engines Museum. Plan is to meet up at Bradbury services, just east of A1(M) junction 60 on the A689 to Hartlepool at about 7.30, then drive up to Ryhope. If we know who is coming we are much more likely to wait until you arrive! This is the google picture of the services, which may make it easier to find, the turn in is just before the services. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Br...oASAFQAw%3D%3D

I have been sorting out and applying for this year’s car shows from a mixture of the shows Jonny has put at the top and shows from my NECPWA membership. If anyone would like to join me for any of those, please let me know. A few I shows I cannot attend are missed out. I have filled in the dates on the 'tbc'. Few anomalies: I can’t find any information on this years Seaburn show at all. Only last years. And the dates for Lytham green and York Knavesmire are both on Sunday 13th September. To avoid pointlessly applying for both, what is the consensus for which show to attend? If it’s down to a vote I will go with Lytham green. Thanks' Andrew

Seaburn is 31 Aug http://www.nebpt.co.uk/index.asp?pg=3&event=187 . Re Knavesmire vs Lytham Green, Knavesmire is is a much bigger show, with a variety of buses and goods vehicles as well as the cars. It also has the advantage of allowing you to pay on the day, which looks dearer than an advance ticket until you add the cost of stamps and envelopes, also you don't lose anything if it tips down & you decide not to go... This year I'll be erring on the side of shows that aren't pre booked, my feeling is that when the effects of the middle east conflict kick in the government might start throwing their weight about and clamp down on leisure journeys. See you on Sunday.

Can I let you know about 10th May in Tadcaster? My Montego isn’t working at the moment and can’t guarantee it’ll manage the 5 miles to get there. Hoping it’ll be working by then.

Fingers crossed! If you have any problems on the day there will be a few people there to help...

With the fuel prices I may be keeping more local this year. Leighton Hall is usually a good one, so add that please also in case anyone wants to join.

Some pictures from today's show at Ryhope, decent weather, free entry, decent catering and plenty to look at in the museum, as usual a great day out to start the season.
