  • Tally ?

Has anybody ever counted up just how many Maestro's and Montego's are currently preserved/being cared for by members of this board?

    I'll start.

    94 Monty DLX Estate(mine)
94 Monty Clubman TD Estate(just picked up for my mate)
    90 Monty Advantage(mine)
    87 Monty 1.6 (mothers)
    85 Monty MG 2.0efi (mine)

If your all up for it reply with a list of your 'charge's'(be they yours or just ones you "look out for"

At the end we can count up how many we are preserving of each model, and see if any model is missing!

    Mal.

Only one to report from here, G51 NAV, MG Maestro Turbo #502

My brother has a very tidy G-reg Austin Maestro SL which looks like an EFi, has less than 55,000 on the clock and has an O-series Turbo engine! This will likely be for sale after Christmas. Just mentioning this in case anyone thinks they may be interested...
                    Regards

                        My cars...

                        1998 'Ledbury' Maestro 1.3. R491 RVJ

Known to all as 'Ledders', he is in hibernation for the winter currently, and awaiting a couple of minor repairs. I spent my first full year of driving behind his wheel, and enjoyed every minute of it. Subtly modified with chrome bits, and always polished to within an inch of its life.

1984 Austin Montego 1.3 Base Model. B797 TFC

Yes, I finally found one with an MOT and no holes! Currently my daily driver. The faded paint and rusty spots add character.

So here comes the international part:

1989 Austin Maestro LS (like 1.3L, currently doing 20 miles to the pound - silver over grey)

And in storage the complete range of the German lauch brochure:
1984 Austin Maestro 1.3 LE (oporto red)
1984 Austin Maestro 1.6 HLS (oporto red)
                          1984 MG Maestro 1600 (black)

                          Also in the family:
1986 MG Maestro EFi (targa red)
1994 Rover GTD (aka Monty estate, carribean blue)

                          That's it for LM10/11 types...
