The preferred drive.......

Taking a quick, 3 night, break in Prestatyn, just 36 miles from home......and I thought "We'll go in Montego !"

She'll likely be a talking point (again, as the car was just yesterday) and I'll prefer the drive in many ways - great visibility, good driving position, comfy seats, a lovely pull from low revs, pleasant 60 mph cruise, plenty of room for the luggage..........and no MG6 "no fault code but beeps, engine light, messages, brief spells of 'limp home' as I reach full temperature

I'm quite happy using mine as an everyday car, as you say better visibility than most modern cars & in the case of the diesel better economy than a lot of them too.

My '6 is diesel - long run mpg good but urban, mixed driving is poor, to put it politely.

When I had my first MG Montego turbo, that was an everyday car and I did 170,000 miles in it. First MG Montego with digital dash was also my everyday car, in fact all but my play cars have been everyday cars and most had past the 150,000 mile by the time I sold them on

Well, Morris was a very pleasant drive here and ambling around Prestatyn too, where again she is attracting a nostalgic smile

.....and, I even found time this morning to glue the crack in one of the occasional rear seat belt buckles. Both clunk click fine

Morris is now sat back home......where she will rest until Thursday'ish

A trusty steed all the way home too and an enjoyable drive.

Attracted loads of attention whilst in Prestatyn.....I received a WhatsApp from Tanya - someone had spotted me whilst in Prestatyn and made a post.....somewhere - I ain't too clued up on this social media thing

And, as I chatted with our host this morning......it seemed his father had taken great interest in Morris too
