Found the problem on the bottom end on my engine.

The pistons are too tight in there bores so am going to partly strip the engine and hone the bores once more.

And am going to check the piston rings allso as theres something strange about them am sure ?

Am doing rust removal using electrolysis so far the wish bones are shiny metal now and the springs are like new

Just need to lightly steel brush the parts and paint them

Engine now turns over on the starter motor,

I solved the problem of the engine locking up as I swaped the shell bearing round on first piston (From the rod to the cap)

The sound of compression on each cylinder from the spark plug holes is quite something

I love that electrolysis for de-rusting! Where do you get the liquid from and what voltage do you use? I have a powder coating system but I need to completely de-rust everything first. Looks like it's worth a try!

Water and Soda crystals, Old car charger, Plastic bucket

10 lires of water to one mug full of soda crystals is what I use as a electrolyte.

An old brake disk or cast iron metal on the live terminal of your charger and nutral terminal on the metal item you want to de-rust but dont let them touch in the bucket under the electrolyte or you will blow the charger

voltage can be anything from 6v to 24v any higher and you be makeing dirty hydrogen gas so no naked flames near the bubles in the bucket. (not that it matters they just go pop with a lighter)

Leave it for a day or two and the surface will have a brown crud like crude oil on the sea

Take metal thing out and hose it down with water the rust will just fall off with no effort then what your left with is black oxide powder on the metal this is a side effect of the rust all you do is steel brush or sand blast this off and your done.

Heres a video walk through of the whole set up
                            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8vT2mdXBs8

size is not of importance you can use a swimming pool and use an ark welder as a power sorce if you want to remove rust from a car chassis.
