Both rear shocks were thudding over bumps so I changed those. I've had these in my spares for over 8 years so about time I used them


30 year bushes and new ones


Have a couple of these in my spares so I also changed these

Sorted now on both sides

Rear lights were also leaking so I changed the gaskets.
Note the thin old and the thick new

Sorted the steering wheel today, it's a little light but will tone in with my dirty hands over it and some leather polish




Also finally put on my new column surround

Thanks Pete, I've just given it another coating that's slightly darker. Just have to wait till it sets then polish. I'm very pleased with the result as I've not done this before

The car is now booked in to have the bonnet and boot finished off on monday and a quote to tidy up the engine bay which be done at a later date.

Early MG Montego steering wheels have the join stitching at the top and are smaller than the later steering wheels which have two joins at about 4 and 8 if you look at a clock.

Picked up the car after having the bonnet and boot resprayed and it does look much better now. Falling in love with this car now, has taken a while but it's looking great and such a buzz to drive.
MGCC lincolnshire branch new years day run is its next outing then a possible photoshoot with an MG magazine in the future as I was asked at the NEC
