I've now bought a gas mig welder to weld the rear box section and weld a couple of small things on the white MG Montego Turbo project.
Andy my usual welder can't do this anymore for me so I will teach myself.

Big Christmas box arrived yesterday

Nightmare day today, the car fought hammer tooth and nail not to be put back together. What should have only took 3 hours took all day, still here we go on updates
Dash going in the first time of many attempts



Get in

The rubber front trim was stopping it going it. Didn't realize that early and late dashes have yet another difference

Once id removed it the dash went in

All connected up on the top of the glove box

Column surround in. to make the dash flat I will put a large heavy book on it. Works everytime

I haven't plugged the speakers or radio in yet Mike, so I don't know yet.
Will have to finish modifying the door cards and radio loom first.
The voice synthesizer only goes through the offside front speaker.

The radio, also a lovely picture of the front electric window switches. Don't know what number etc but i'm sure Simon will know

I've found 2 radios like this so I'm hoping I will get them, made my heart beat a bit faster with such a rare find
