Centre consol.
As the original had previously been broken i've had to replace it.



There are differences in early and later centre consols



As early cars have this. A vent running from the heater unit that was dropped a couple of years later

All done and ready to go in, just needs a strip of foam on the front so it doesn't rattle

Door cards
Early door cards have the retaining clips inserted into polystyrene blocks that are stuck on to the door card



These break very easily

Other the years 'collecting' spares I have a full set of door cards to replace these with the later retaining clips and screw holes
Next job change the card centres and drill some holes in the doors in strategic places.
The door card centres on this car have the electric window switches inserted

Early cars also have bolts on the speakers


Later have self tappers, all are held with these fixings

Both done with the exception of the finger inserts as both were damaged. I have more somewhere

Looking good. I never knew those switches were meant to go there . On my dads old c reg vanden plas it had the switches fir the windows under the radio in the centre console.

Thomas, on early cars if you only had the front electric windows the switches were on the door cards, if all 4 were electric the switches were in the centre consol as on your dads car.
All switches were moved to the centre consol from late B reg/early C reg.
I could easily have converted the switches to the centre as its simple wiring and its taken me a while so sort this but was trying very hard to keep them in the door cards and I'm happy I've finally fixed it
