    • I turned her off when I had one in the 1980's.
I will put it into test mode after I have the radio looked at and hear the whole she-bang
The radio's number display back light doesn't work and it won't pick up any FM stations. MW and LW both work though

      • Had the afternoon free so I did a bit more
Rear seat belts done and look great with the red piping

Dash finished off and just waiting for the Radio to return. Early heater display is different as is the early glove box. I'm putting the cassette storage back in

        • This is why the made dash wouldn't go in the car straight away, spot the difference

          • Other than the headlining the interior is near complete with only the steering wheel to tighten as I forget my 33mm socket

            Engine next
Drilling out the broken bolt but I have to drop the engine 2 inches first. That could be fun

I am busy, I've been doing 12-18 hours days but had the afternoon free so I finished the seatbelts and dash.
Engine won't be started till mid Feb as I have no time till then. After that I have a few more free days at the moment to hopefully finish it

                  • Nearly ready to be started up now
Waterpump, cambelt, tensioner, rear coreplugs and alternator all on. On Saturday I will be changing the front corplugs, putting on a charged battery and starting the car, filling with water and trusting my drilling of the snapped bolt and re-tapping is ok. If so then change of oil, coolant and the engine is done enough for an MOT
I've timed the cam up via the timing notches and not the previous 'one tooth out' so i'm hoping all is ok

Radio display fixed but the parts are obsolete for the FM tuner. All other parts are ok so I will just have to listen to MW and my large collection of cassette tapes

                            • Engine done and no leaks, service next.
On removing the rear wheels I spotted this

As I didn't really want to drop the petrol tank I fixed it another way

                              Sexy wheels back on
