That engine bay looks very tidy! Where did you get the silicon hoses from (I presume they are silicone?)

Looking very nice Peter. Think there will be a few of us on here jealous. It is absolutely stunning.

Hoses I believe are from here

              http://www.autosiliconehoses.com

Which I've used for a few things and service has been pretty decent. I'm sure Peter will confirm though.

So I take it Grant ordered the 280 piper cams for you and labelled them as custom? He is the master of BS! I'd recommend giving a healthy dose of boost as you run the engine in. It needs breaking in fairly aggressively imo.

If that goes and rives as good as that engine bay look, should be awesome.

Pipers will come coated in black phosphate stuff, so I don't think they are piper cams.

Did you happen to measure the lift on them?

Timing the cams is a pain in the rear, but at least once it is done you know you've got the most out of your spend.

To time the cams you'll need:
                              Vernier pulleys, i.e. adjustable
Two DTI gauges (3 is preferable but two will do)
The settings from the cam manufacturer (usually given as lift at TDC measurement).
Some metal brackets to mount the DTI gauges
Some extension pieces for the DTI gauges (TIG welding rods work brilliantly for this).
                              Lots of patience!

ETV.. spoken to grant today asking about cams, he tells me..

Inlet cam is peak lift at 108 deg

                                Exhaust is 110 deg

                                does that make any sense??
