If I was honest with my other half about how much I've spent so far, I'd be banned from the internet for life

Finished but minus the engine and box. Got the original head done, rebuilt two of the blocks I got from you but not got any further as I am extremely tempted to go down the T16 route. I will never sell the car so it may as well be done to how I want. If I could find a rotted out / crashed T16 converted maestro / Montego to use as a donor I would buy! I’m just not entirely confident doing the conversion from scratch myself as I feel it would be so much easier to swap over from an already running converted car???

Excellent that you've finished it. T16 is an old conversion these days and most would want to put back to original

I know, I’d probably finish the original engine and store. I just know how thin on the ground these are getting now and worry if I break it I won’t be able to get the parts!

Still a few bits around for O series, some bits are the same as efi and Jeff knows which bits these are, which is handy . If fitting the t16 is similar to M16, then there is a bit to cut out of the front cross member, not a vast chunk, but all adds to the hassle of putting it back, if you decided to go back to the o series. Be nice to see it back on the streets, whichever engine it ends up with....

O series engine is very robust Gavin.
