Problem is proper panel remanufacture has HUGE set-up costs. 10's of thousands for the press dies needed which is beyond the clubs funds.
GRP panels on the other hand may be of interest and is something I had considered.www.maestroturbo.org.uk - The Tickford Maestro Turbo Register

Re: Panels. Buy where you can and stock up on used originals where space and cash allows!
What is deemed scrap and rotten now will one day have to be repaired, no doubt.
Used but good Allegro front panels can go for £400 and upwards. Driver's front wings are serious business, likewise.
Things aren't that bad yet for Maestro and Montego owners, but it is worth keeping in mind. Also, the number of cheap cars to strip for spares will only keep on decreasing...

Then it would be good to have a list of alternatives and sourced avalable for our parts that are NLA

The anti-roll bar links that MAPS manufactured are available through the MG 'M' Group, along with a small range of other items. We did fuel filler pockets in GRP and carbon fibre for a while.
On this forum there was bit of whinging about the prices but I always sold out of these items quickly, mainly to members of the MG 'M' Group. There is demand and some people will pay the going rate. Others are unrealistic and compare the price of a newly manufactured part with what they used to pay ten years ago from the scrapyard.

Just take along your broken and perished remains and see what you can fit together from what's in the little packs. Rubber hoses, t-piece connectors, bits to go on the brass stub on the carburettor...it's all there.Sure & steadfast.
