Hi Ray,
This unfortunately is a known bug in vBulletin and is apparently being fixed in the next update.
By all means PM me and I can add it in.

Can you make sure that your browser isn't set to delete cookies when you close it? The login is remembered from a cookie. If it deletes that, then it will end the logged in session.

Which browser are you using Peter. as I have suffered with this problem as well. My main one is Firefox.

It seemed to be ok for me over the past couple of days, but I have just checked the 3 cookies that affect this. bbpassword, bbuserid and bbsessionhash were all set to 22/10/16, giving me the 30 days. Just checked now and bbsessionhash has reverted to session, so will be interesting to see if I'm "forgotten" next time I visit the site

Thanks Pete. I have dug a little deeper into the 'session' that seems to be overwriting the cookie for some of you.

Turns out they have made improvements to this in the next release (5.2.4) which has just been made available.

They have increased the timeout to 365 days and made sure that the 'session' doesn't overwrite the date.

Once I'm happy that others have upgraded to 5.2.4 successfully, I shall do the same and hopefully this will sort it for you.

Can confirm that my session was still logged in this morning, albeit with bbsessionhash still showing as session.

After clearing 15 cookies on maestro.org.uk, I was able to log in. Woo hoo!
