    Thanks.

Here's all the cars in one shot:

    front row:

    middle row (on left):

    back row:

Don't know when the next addition will be, there are a few more models due out in the future that I want. Repainting/spraying the mk1 ford sierra is an ogoing work in progress, next one's going to be in velvet-blue colour, probably some time in November.

The picture was resized on photobucket... hoepfully it will be here too. The two capri's have been cut off and you can't see the talbot sunbeam in the back row!

If you cut away a bit of the rear pillar and filed/sanded off the rear aerofoil on one of those Sierras, you might be able to replicate the rare early 3-door 1.3 and 1.6 base/L models built up to 1985. Just a thought...

What I really like about your latest diorama is the way the cars are parked - not all neat and tidy but just like a real car park. I think for added realism you could have one car driving in the opposite direction to the marked arrow like people do in car parks some times! That's why I like the position of the horn on a Maestro - where it should be - on the end of the stalk so that you can hoot, flash and elevate a rude hand signal all at the same time!!

Ah do you mean take out the spoiler at the back? I might just do that on the next respray model, i.e the velvet-blue version.

Think for next time when I do an updated version of this picture I'll have a moving car either pulling in, pulling out or looking for an empty bay. Think I can get a 1/43 scale figure inside a car as I know the sierras for sure can be unscrewed at the bottom.

Yes, remove the spoiler (Hopefully it won't be too hard). Also use nippers to cut through the dividing bar for the rear side windows and file down so that it's all smooth - the plastic glazing should just be a flat area and it won't look out of place.

The Maestro's actually an MG1600, but I guess if you're good with moulding your own bits it could be whatever you want.

Yeah unfortunately none of them were; not even the more-numerous Scalextric model. For a start the proportions of the Scalextric front end was miles out. (To be honest, it was more like how ARG should have actually built the real car !).

That's some collection you have You could do with a Reliant Scimitar in there somewhere. NEO do the 80s version which is dead accurate although quite expensive...about £45! Could also do with an 80s Robin for added reality! Not sure if you can get these though!

Just bought this, although you probably wouldn't have seen one in your average 80s carpark!

The only issue with neo, apart from their rather expensive prices compared to other modelmakers, is that all their models are left-hand-drive and I only collect RHD.

As I had a couple of spare dashboards I was able to stick these on the red escort and gold fiesta as these were originally LHD minichamps models. I wouldn't have bothered buying them otherwise lol.

Russ, the 3-door cossie that vanguards do still has that massive spoiler similar to the XR4i. I am able to take the spoiler out but there's still holes etc which have to be filled in with some pollyfilla and sanded down.

Next model I do for myself I will take the spoiler out and make it a more basic model but if it doesn't look good I'll stick the spoiler back on.

Dont use pollyfiller there are plenty of propper model fillers such as humbrol or milliput. I use humbrol goes off pretty fast and is very fine when sanded
