  • Hello all

Hello, I thought it was about time I joined up, I currently own a Maestro 1.6SL, I've now owned the car for nearly 2 years, I live in South Devon,

Looks like a nice car, the first Maestro I ever drove was a 1600HLS. I remember being amazed by the fuel economy, it did over 40mpg on a long motorway trip (and this was before speed cameras ). The fact that the automatic cold start worked properly was something else that I found impressive, there were two Fords at work and neither of them would start when hot.
    happy motoring
    John

Thanks for the comments, yes I'm over the moon with it, got to sort a few things out but I shall be doing those once spring arrives, got some wings to fit and get sprayed and the headlining but over all it's great, not a lot of history unfortunately but only 75,000 miles

Barely run in at that mileage, when you are doing the headlining, take a look at Jeff's 'how to' on here..
