I notice on ebay there are one piece replacements, are these better than the original 2 bearings seperated by a spacer ?

there are two types of one piece bearing as well, ball thrust and taper roller, Rover discontinued the ball thrust fairly quickly as it was prone to failure, but they are still available nos or pattern parts, best avoided if possible.Originally posted by carfix View PostIf its the front hub then there are two bearing options.
A two piece bearing for earlier cars and a one piece larger bearing for later cars (which is supposed to last longer).
I don't think they're inter-changeable as the hubs are different.

As above, A two piece bearing and you will need to keep the spacer in the centre as bearings don't come with it. Easy job to removeOriginally posted by colfee View Postit is the rear wheel bearing and the car is a 1998 Ledbury1958 Ford Consul Convertible. I love this car
