Hi Al - it's been a while since I last heard from you. Nice to speak with another like minded maestro turbo man that's into modifying them. I hope #496 is looking as well since the last time I seen pictures of her?

Well I was a little premature when I said last year "let the build begin" #385 build begins today .... definitely Photos below show my turbo arising from its 10 year slumber - then delivered to my home 3 miles away. Job number 1 - wash car!

Thanks guys. I can't believe its been 10 years since #385 was stored away. She's fared well considering with only minor blemishes in the paint work that will need some attention. I have so much to do over the autumn period before winter sets in.

Yeah I know - I need to invest in a garage but a good car cover will have to do for now lol.

lol true: I remember they told us earlier this year that we'd best prepare ourselves for at least another ten years of washed-out summers, but to be honest since July this has been the best summer I remember any time this century. Well, round here at least.

We'll just get what we get, I reckon!

                                Fuel filler pocket>

Best advice is cut it out and sikaflex in a fibreglass one (I think MGM did them).

There are a few metal ones about if you look hard enough but the fibreglass option avoids rot in the future too.
