The fact the pictures have been taken in the kitchen gets my vote.

So what route does the air take? Atmosphere - Supercharger - turbo - intercooler - engine?
      Looks great!

Not much room for error right enough dan. As the carbs are exactly the same angle with original single carb set up it should be OK. The oulet of the blower however will be tight against rad. It's the single plenum that will weld onto the two plenum stubs on the inlets of carbs I'm most worried about. I need to use 37mm restrictors plates - these are 5mm thick which will bring the single plenum that mach closer to the bulkhead.

Can you not turn the charger 90 deg anticlockwise to get the outlet on the top (or is that the inlet?)

            I'd imagine airflow would be:>

            Atmosphere--> Supercharger --> Chargecooler/Intercooler --> Turbo --> Chargecooler/intercooler --> Carburettors

Yes you can Dan - I will shoehorn it in there somehow.

Closed bypass valve... atmosphere - supercharger - turbo - intercooler - chargecooler - carbs

Open byepass valve... atmosphere - turbo - intercooler - chargecooler - carbs

Don't know if your interested mike but I have 2 alloy rover v8 airbox elbows for those carb plates. Bought them to do my twin carb setup but not doing it now.

Thanks for the offer Dave - but I'm building a plenum for those carbs. Are you going injected now?

                  cheers

                    No worries....custom plenum nice!
In the future yep.. It should be good for 270+ with the single carb for now. Then if I want more I will go fuel injection and new turbo.
Had the car over 2 years and have never driven it.

Rattys old engine is being rebuilt now though as we speak

                        Have you...?
I wondered where that went lol

I have all the other bits for it ....lol

Well to be honest I would be interested in the manifold if you have it. That's mainly what put me off was going to all the effort of making another inlet manifold.

Drop me a pm if you like mike

                        • Hi Dave - try not to use the throttle configuration the gooon was using - it was rather crude if I remember correctly. Speak to Burlen and get them to send you a new throttle linkage - very cheep! I've sent you a pm.

                          cheers

Where did you get that vernier pulley mate?

                              • It's a Ford Escort CVH one that has a specially made adepter so it fits to the O-series head. Piper Cams said they could sell us an ex display CVH vernier for £80 - they normally sell for over 100. I may be able to make you the adapter - but I need to speak with my local machine shop first. Of course the cam will need set up correctly.

                                cheers
