Yes Peter - Low compression Forged JE pistons 7:1...

Crank/con rods etc. standard - although all balanced. I don't know what the bottom end in term of power/torque it could handle?

good choice i went for JE too mine is 8.4.1, yours 7.1 is really low compression take it plan run very high boost

What ever it takes to hit 300bhp with scope for more.

Probably torque steer off the road as the O-Series alway produce way more torque than bhp.

The breather system has additional oil separator that returns oil back to sump.

Hiya mate, can i ask... whats the benifit of this modified breather system? as the origonal with a few little minor tweaks i find can be absolutly fine? also why are you changing the oil pump? cheers, jake.

Hi Jake - the breather system can be problematic in a standard engine let alone a 300bhp one. Basically this webpage sums it up.....

Their are no moving parts with my system which promote an efficient intake. I won't go into detail here as this thread would be a long one. All I will say however is the standard breathers should be junked and thrown in the bin!

What are your minor tweaks to the breather system Jake?

The oil pump I desire to use is the T16 with its oil cooler take off points.

Hiya, I have thought the set up was good but the valve is sh** !
You can buy these updated made from billet plus fit either an oil catch can or a vent to atmosphere breather. Out of interest again, what have you done to it?

Hi Jake - yeah those valves can go faulty - simply no good for a high output engine. I'm just waiting on a couple of parts for my breather system then I'll upload to my website and show all once that part is complete.
