Of course the cam will need set up correctly.

Ohh right, are these 100% identical then? Any chance of a pic of the adapter of yours and the pulley in your spare time? Sorry asking for pics all the time lol also what's the rough cost of the adapter ?
    Cheers,
    Jake.

    • Is what identical Jake?

The adapter is a complex little thing...

No idea the cost to make one of them?

      cheers

Yeah they do look complex, is your local engineering company close by? Ifso when you have a moment would it be possible to get a quote for the adapter? What I meant was, is the diamond ions of the pulley 100% the same as the maestro one? Belt teeth too? Cheers,
        Jake.

        • Oh right I see what you mean. Yes absolutely identical. It could be a while before I'm back at the machine shop Jake. Is your maestro turbo going to be running anytime soon?

            • I'm going to be using T16 oil pump with the oil cooler connections but the one I have is worn and unsightly. Motobuild sell new pumps at £209 - is there cheaper ones available else where?

              cheers

                • Rimmers selling new ones £59 you just need to tap out connections for oil cooler, there a thread on rovertec about it done plenty of times

                  • Good advice Peter - saved a few pennies lol. I can now afford the ARP studs this week as well. Money situation tight at the moment - but working through the project very slowly.

Regarding the oil pressure switch - will this do?

                      • I can remember something like that about the maestro turbo oil pressure switches Peter. Finding the right one on eBay is difficult even though the ad says it'll fit when clearly it won't.

                        • One type is normally open. The other normally closed. I think the turbo is normally open from memory (I remember having to tape the wire to some bare metal when the connector fell off on the way home from work in the turbo one day to get the engine to run).

                          • Thanks Dan - it'll be a case of trying one or two to find the correct pressure switch I suspect?

                            • Hi mate, what arp head bolts are you using? As arp don't make bolts for the o series do they?

                              Comment

                              • Hi Jake - well Peter (charliecosworth) was kind enough to measure his arp stud set (T16) for me. It turns out the longest O-series stretch bolts have identical dimensions. Obviously not the six shorter ones though - so spacers need to be made to bring them up the the level of the four longer head bolts. I'm going to brace the head studs in place as well due to the extra weight of the supercharger/twin carbs on head.
