  • I was never happy with the template website I used - very basic site that I couldn't do what I wanted. So I've made a few changes by building my own fully fledged site. Not finnished yet as loads of stuff still to upload.

    check back for updates.... mgmaestroturbo.com

    • Have a look at this JE Forged piston ware marks - can it be re-used? The others are much the same. Mileage 8000 odd. I plan to fit them to a new engine so any advice greatly received.

      • I meant to say the ware looks premature.

        • Piston skirt looks fine to re-use so long as it isn't worn unduely. I'd be more concerned about the dings in the piston crown though. Detonation?

          • Hi Dan - just had a wee quick visit to my guru and machine shop specialist about that piston. He said something has been rattling around in there causing those marks on piston crown. He measured the piston and confirms its perfectly usable. Happy days..

            cheers Dan

                • Looks like excess use of sealant. One of the reasons it is better to use too little than too much!.

Still that is why the strainer has a gauze on it to protect from such issues.

                      • Hi Jake - haven't seen you on for a while - I completely forgot all about it to be honest. I will speak with my machine specialist to see if he can reproduce the adapter for you. Whats the current status of your project?

                        • Hey mate ino long time no speak! Lol
My cars all welded and running (needs an mot asap!) lol
Just needs painting but ive blown it in for now to protect the body amd so i can tune it. Its now fuel injected! Running 750cc injectors with twin turbo setup that i have made so that the small turbo becomes completly bypassed when the big one (garret gt35r ball bearing) reaches boost. Its runs at 40psi atm And i havent dynoed it yet but i recon with the map tuned correctly theres 750+bhp that can be reached but only maybe around 400-500bhp max atm. But its on a standard bottom end atm lol and standard cam! So i need ths new cam to be setup and my crank, conrods and pistons are being produced as we speak and should be ready for 2 months time! Then it the 1000+ bhp goal to achive! I wanna dyno my atm now though to see if what i thibk its putting out is right lol. Yours is looming great btw love the shinys!
