    • I rally an MG Maestro 1600. The 'rorty 40s' are absolute magic -what a fantastic noise! It sounds like a MkII Escort rally car -a real snarl (goes well, too).
When we are all driving electric cars in the future we will remember the days when cars sounded throaty.

            • Looking all dressed up and ready to tear the tarmac up.

Whats the hold up with the engine then Ross?

              • The car is away at my boss' workshop where we are doing the wiring but hes a very busy guy so it will just be done when its done.

There really isnt any rush as I have missed too many events this year to bother going for points. So the plan is to spend the rest of the year testing and and maybe get one rally in at the end of the year so its ready for the 2016 season. This will let me save up too which is ideal as its going to get expensive again when I get back into rallying properly.

                    • Superb. The fastest non-turbo Maestro (and the fastest competing Maestro) in the world, I believe!

                      • John, I never thought about it that way, I suppose it must be. Well when its running that is.

My dad's jelous now it's faster than his turbo!

                          • I remember you said you have a lot on your plate with other cars so Im glad to hear your managing to get the rally car back out!

How do you find yours for driveability with the turbo and FWD?

Well up for an event with both the cars!
