Welcome to the Maestro and Montego Owners Club. Why not post in the Welcome & Feedback forum and introduce yourself?
Received this from a Triumph Sports Six Club member:
I don’t know if you have any members of your club in our part of the world who are looking for a car, but opposite where I work on Canning Street in Birkenhead there is an outfit called 12 Quays Tyres, and in his yard he has a very straight blue Maestro which looks like a genuine “one little old lady owner” car. The only fault I can see on it walking past is a small patch of corrosion under the rear screen, but arches and sills look crust-free and the paint is good. It has been there for a few weeks now and I don’t know if he is open to offers, but always worth a try. It certainly looks too good to break, but has probably been bought in as scrappage. http://twelvequaystyres.co.uk/

Sod the dash, the whole car would be good, can't believe it would be too expensive to fix. Must have been owned by an enthusiast who obviously took the insurance companies advice & maybe didn't know he/she could buy it back?
There's a silver F reg CityX in at Albert Looms in Derby. Hadn't been drained by today but the let me get non-fluid bits off it. Body is pretty shot, but looked like it had a slight bump on the front nearside so the engine/ gearbox may be OK.
I went to try and get some bits off this about a month ago - from memory, I think that pretty much anything that was worth having on it had already gone (although I can't remember what the dash was like).
They do lend you wellies if it's muddy though, friendliest scrappie I've ever been to!
