My White 28k Miles EFI after a fresh "Deep Clean" full valet.
Not too happy about the surface corrosion that's appeared in some of the usual places, but still a stunner even after 20 months or so of being laid up.
Hopefully a new home will be found in the near future.
Norman,
The G plate was given a partial restoration will all bolt on panels replaced with New, as well as a rework on various welded seems where the factory standard was "off".
The car will be returning to the workshop to have some paint defects rectified, and then will be given a full "Deep clean " Valet and a new MOT before being listed as "Available".
The J plate in the barn, is the one that was an abandoned project, small works required to finish off where the previous body man finished, then paint.
Then it's a case of sorting/locating all missing parts and panel work before rebuilding.
Or I may just strip it, as I have someone interested in the new steering and suspension set up it currently has fitted.
What is the shell like on mental? I'm keeping my eyes open for a clean shell (not bothered about anything else) to build a 4wd maestro and considering the history of mental it might be nice to make it "mental" once again Since I've got 4 project cars on the go just now already I'm not saying im definitely going to buy it but if it's good and clean it would be a consideration.
All I will say is I WILL build a 4wd maestro one of these days but when it gets started in unclear just now
I would say Mental is "Salvagable" Shell wise, but will need work in usual area's.
Black efi rolling shell at the barn would be a better prospect as it has had new rear quarter, arch, and full sill fitted, as well as rear panel 'pro rebuilt" including new closing panels and lamp panels.
Link below to a few things I dug out of the loft rooms today, as well as the first in a long pile of box's I have yet to sort through and list to confirm identity of parts and quantity of each.
At least 95% of it genuine new rover/ MGR parts. Plastic Tubs all Maestro Montego.
(And approx 45% of the new parts I have here at home)

Hi i will take the seat covers if still have them? (whats in your photos) are they front and rears or just fronts.
do you have any new grills (MG) ideally in white
and 2 anti roll bar link arms ( the small ones )
Once I have everything listed I will deal with enquirie's in regards to selling.
I have a lot to get through and would rather get it all sorted rather than "Diving into box's for this and that".
Not sure on ARB "End" link bush's at the mo, which is why I need to confirm whats there first.
I had planned to sell all the general parts in one lot, which still may happen, but the more costly items such as covers and seats etc will still be sold separately.
Peter,
Having already had pictures up on F/book there are one or two who have already shown interest.
Sussex Pete.
I believe I do have a selection of MG maestro door cards, both early and late versions in good to great condition, but they are yet to be dug out and sorted.
I will apprise everyone of "progress and availability" on all items big and small as soon as I am satisfied I have found everything and listed them.
