I don't think it was used much from checking its mot history, could be many reasons why he's selling it. He was extremely happy when he bought it and complimentary on its condition though. Didn't say anything about gaps etc, not like someone who knows nothing about 1980s car production on the Facebook page. I lost it a bit there but won't do that again as I'm not commenting any more on it on that page
Yes, as you say we don't know why he's put it up for sale, people's circumstances do change. I saw the failbook post, it looked to me as though somebody had changed an indicator bulb & not engaged the bottom lug on the lamp unit correctly, something I'm sure we've all done once or twice. The other things he mentioned looked to be parallax errors due to using a relatively wide angle lens to take photos in a confined space. Very easy for people that don't have a car of their own & have never rebuilt one to pick holes in other peoples on there, especially if they were asleep in their school physics lessons
1958 Ford Consul Convertible. I love this car
1965 Ford Zodiac Executive. Fab cruiser being restored
1997 Jaguar Xk8 Convertible. Such a fab car
2004 MGZT cdti. Great workhorse
2004 MGZT V8. Black now with new engine and gearbox
Yeah I'm surprised it only reached that. I assume its the cat C on it. Either way he lost quite a bit on it in the two years on his ownership. He didn't use it much at all but it's on its way to another owner who may or may not join the club or Facebook page.

I'm assuming the seller accepted this amount as it differs from the original post. That's without fees

If we could have seen into the future back then, some of us would have made pots of cash out of our old cars (the ones I'm thinking of weren't all in particularly good nick, but included a £50 mk 2 escort van, one or two £500-£1000 suffix A Range Rovers and a mint £400 Marina van..) how times change!

I found out the other week that this car now sits in the same unit as my old black MG Montego Turbo and my old Zircon blue MG Montego EFi. Strange that they are re-united somewhere else

Amazing, two of them in the same place would be a bit of a coincidence, but the odds on three must be pretty high!
Yep, none will turn a wheel now I assume
