Air intake and holding clips arrived, much better than the old one. Couple of niggles also hopefully sorted, dash lights up properly now. Last thing to sort is a possibly faulty rear light sensor as the rear offside indicator isn't lighting up on the dash and it keeps say bulb fault but all are working

Do you think the early cars are better built , better steel.
The montego shape is so clean looking today.
    Alan.
Not sure about better built, The later facelift cars were built better in my opinion, the door cards, headliner material on early models were rubbish really, other things were upgraded or simplified as the car got older. The steel was thicker though on these early cars

After 8 years the car has now been completed with an mot and no advisories. Had to adjust the tracking, front lights and emissions, but now sorted. Runs very smoothly too and a good possibility that it will be taxed at the end of the month to enjoy

All warning lights now out, just have to set the year, clock etc, put petrol in it, MOT then all done.

Even did under the bonnet, though that was a faff. Bonnet wouldn't open so I had to undo the bonnet catch and reposition it, sorted now. Radio isn't plugged in as i'm waiting for it to be repaired. I'm in love now with this car and hopeful of a favourable MOT when my MOT man is back soon.

Great attention to detail, time to enjoy the car.
The montego really was a clean shape and all the better for it.
