Thanks but I don't need it as I have 2 spare. The only thing I will need for the car is the wiring loom made up from the connecting plug to the radio, dark grey headlining material but I should have all other things in my spares stash

Did some work on this today
Will have to change this soon

Can only remove it from under the car

Had to remove the bracket to get it out, stupid place to put it and I can see why they moved the alternator to the front, note the pulley difference

Next was to replace the broken spoiler, there are 2 types, adjustable studs

Fixed studs

Fixed studs has Austin/Rover on the spoiler adjustable has nothing

Next was the missing Montego badge

Re-furbed alternator sorted and ready to put on.
I will be trying to find my spare 'oneshot' drivers electric window regulator as it's somewhere in one of my spares stashes to get the electric windows working, it's either that or a relay that needs replacing.
After that remove the headlining

While I was working on my white Turbo project all friday I didn't get a chance to continue this project, but I did cut a section of the headlining and will match it with something from the NEC, hopefully

New alternator now on, that took over an hour
Now says this instead of alternator fault and after a few minutes it's fixed

Now the alternator has been replaced I can try and fix the electric windows
This had been mullered

So I managed to get a replacement

Connected and....nothing.
Checked the fuse, thats ok so I checked the relay and found this

No idea why the second relay in the door has had the wires cut.

Turned the lights on and it shows, lamp faults with the lamps working, the outer rear lights had the bulbs missing so I but new bulbs in. The offside cluster blows the outer lamp so I think an earth problem here.
The alarm indicator comes on sometimes so again possibly an earth fault.
I will be removing the dash and nearside door card next as neither front electric windows are working and it blew a fuse when I tried the nearside wiindow, again possibly an earth fault.
