Looks like its coming home next month to be swopped with my red digidash

Cars being swopped tomorrow so I had to get this one ready. Had a little bit of time so I fixed a couple of things.
All lights work now, I replaced both clusters from my spares and hey presto


All confirmed as working

Nearside front door sensor isn't working but all others are

so sound yet as there isn't a radio fitted

Alternator I put on it is making a bit of a noise to I will have to replace it, its charging but one of the bearings must be gone or the belt is too loose.
Electric windows sort of work now but not how they should, I have started to uncover the wiring and once the dash is removed I should find the problem.
I'm looking forward to spending a couple of solid days on this

A little progess today as I have to work later
Dash removed and what a pain with the alarm wires wrapped round everything, took me over an hour to remove it. alarm disconnected and binned

Sorting electric windows

Got the passenger side working but the drivers still refused to work properly so i will rewire it and bypass the 'one shot' unit.
Heater has to be removed as the resistor isn't working next.

Out with the grey

And in with the red

Headining was in the way so I removed it

I will have to add a mod to this as one internal lamp isn't enough

I noticed that the seats are faded so I replaced those


Normally a clip here but not sure if this was how it started with a large self tapper as there was still plastic covering on it

Early and later dash differences

Vent differences, old dash seems more cluttered

Older dash has the fuse box surround on it and you have to remove the steering column to get it out. I might try to convert the newer dash to include the fuse box surround, just to be brave enough to cut into it


Radio lamp on older types and additional strip of plastic for the speaker front/rear control

I will have to remove the heater while the dash is out to replace/fix the resistor as the fan only works on full.
