More today, handbrake cable sorted and very smooth now, cam belt next but on removing the front wheel I found this behind it, a dust protector

That's the stainless steel exhausts on order, 3 centres boxes and 3 rear boxes for a very reasonable price. Will take a month to fabricate as they're very busy but no rush

Now back in the car. also put new rear brake pads on the car as they were quite seized, they now move more freely but there is a fault in the small cable junction so will dig out my last spare and change that as that's also seized. I've also removed the exhaust as I want to get a stainless steel one made up, it's a bit loud now. On another note, I may have found a pair of genuine NOS Montego sills, so will update as I get it. I do have a pair of cover sills but it's a possible good find

Bulbs turned up today. Had a couple of hours spare this morning so plugged the dash to my fast check to check it, Unfortunately it has a fault on it so I plugged in my spare and that works properly so changed it over

Ford pinto tensioner modified for the car, as I've done this on two other cars it's quite a simple thing to do. Freeing off the rear brakes tomorrow as if it rains its difficult to push, then cambelt etc on Saturday with luck. That's not as easy as later models but all ready to go now

Strange concoction though. Plenty of car parts and Bristol racing. John wilcox does know of them and has a good word to say, just a bit expensive at £7 plus vat each and postage.

Not sure if they still do the bits they made for Rover, but Rimmers still sell wiper delays that were a Pektron part, I guess the degree of helpfulness depends on who picks the phone up......
Was a company call Teesdale Racing, and they had one of each, little expensive but have to have them. If you look at their website they have many obsolete parts on file. A bonus find there http://www.inracing.co.uk/teesdale-c...-parts-centre/

Tiny progress but progress non the less. After fiddling about with the black bulb holders that came out of the dash display I realised that these were not the correct parts. After buying John Wilcox last white bulb holder and bulb, the display lit up properly. But I only had one working bulb as unknown to me my spares had blown. After trying most of the next few days getting a replacement bulb and failing badly I went back to my EPC to see if they fit any other models and discovered another part number for VP models. Put this into my search engine and found a company who had the part number on their website. Bit more looking and they also have the original part number listed they I was after, so will be contacting them this morning. Unusual as their a Racing Bristol company. Looking like happy days atm and makes it worthwhile searching. Many thanks Johnny for the link to Ring bulbs but they didn't have anything suitable

Just hoping it'll work when I put it back together. On another note, I now have 3 spare correct ECU's for the car. Will be testing them all soon, and the dash ..................
